Time is flying by!  Hard to believe that January is already down to its last drop.  As much as I hate to wish time away, I have to say that I don't really mind.  We're just moving closer and closer to my road trip with my girlie and the grandbabies.  She thinks I'm going to lose my mind being locked in a car for 24 hours with two toddlers.  And I might.  But I'd pretty much do anything to be able to see those sweet little faces...even when they aren't being sweet!

Anyway, since we're getting close to Valentine's Day, I thought I'd share the last of the cards I managed to put together.  Nothing extravagant or technique heavy; that's just not my style (or talent).  But throw a piece of chocolate in the envelope and somebody will be happy to get one!

Let the Love Fest Begin!

I've actually put quite a bit of effort into making Valentine's Day cards for my nears and dears this year.  To start things off, here's a very simple card.  A few cuts, some distressing, some gluing, and voila!

You Color My World

New Year's down, on to Valentine's Day!  Seems as though the life of a cardmaker is always spent in anticipation of the next holiday or event.

My two grandkids are close enough in age that they always want what the other one has.  Now that I think about it, to some extent, aren't we all like that?  When I can, I try to make sure I send them both similar things.  Cuts down on the tantrums Mommy has to deal with.  For this same reason, I celebrate both of them on both birthdays.  It can be a little expensive, but I only have the two and they are my world, so...

I came across these crayon stickers in Joann quite awhile back and thought of the babies.  This is what I came up with in the way of Valentine's Day cards for them.

Pretty plain and simple, but they're 2 and 3.  The fancy stuff will come later.

Off to do a little bit of shopping.  I'm still on the hunt for a perfect red bead necklace.  Have a great week!

Hello again

I thought I was done with blogging.  Apparently not.  It's not that I have anything profound to say, any wise words to share with the masses...I just like to share stuff.  The stuff I think, cook, create, see, experience (and if I get brave enough, maybe even wear).  Just stuff.  My word for 2015 is "BE".  So I'll "be" brave and share a few of my adventures through the second half of this little life of mine.

This Christmas, my family pitched in and got me the one thing I've been wanting forever but haven't been willing to part with the money for.  A Silhouette Cameo!!  My family rocks.  I have no idea of what I'm doing but I'm slowly teaching myself.  Unlike a lot of things, the learning process for this is actually kind of fun.

This is my first multi-layer project.  It's a card for one of my aunts.  I can see the imperfections (why are we always our own worst critics?) but I'm overall pleased as punch with how it turned out.

The little gloves and tools actually slide out of the pockets!  How cute is that??

Anyway, #BECREATIVE and have a great week!
